The story behind Snow Days
They say food can be a time machine
Snow Days started as a memory. Thinking back to those days as a kid when you were lucky enough to wake up and look out the window to see the trees covered in fluffy snow, and not a school bus in sight. And your only obligation for the day was to play outside and devour a snack when you came in from the cold.
The Challenge
In our opinion, it was all about pizza bites. Warm and crusty on the outside, ooey gooey on the inside. Little did we know back then, BUT they were packed with some not-so-great ingredients. As health-minded “responsible adults”, we wouldn’t think of eating these nowadays.
Our Insight
But we were nostalgic for something we loved, and we knew there needed to be a better way to enjoy something we loved so dearly. But there was nothing in the market that filled that need, so we figured, we’ll just have to make it ourselves. Because we couldn’t let the next generation live a life deprived of pizza bites!
Our Approach
Create a product made from real, organic ingredients, and make them beyond delicious, and Snow Days Pizza Bites were born! Our goal was to create the pizza bites you love, except make them better in every dimension. Better taste, better ingredients, and better for fueling you wherever the day may take you.
So how did we do it? How did we take a product that had morphed into a science experiment, and bring it back to life as something you’d be proud and excited to serve to family and friends, and crave to eat yourself?
We used the best ingredients around. All organic, clean, and simple. Real olive oil, tons of veggies packed into the sauce, grass-fed dairy… our ingredient list reads like a shopping list, not a science experiment!
We have fun! Listen people, we’re talking about pizza bites here! If you were lucky enough to experience the “miracle” of Snow Days as a kid, then you know they were days of absolute freedom and endless possibilities; glorious days where time almost stood still, obligations were put on ice and responsibilities just melted away.
